It was announced today the San Francisco 49er legend Dwight Clark passed away after a three year battle with ALS. He was 61 years old.
Dwight Clark is best known for the most famous catch in 49er history as he was on the receiving end of  the Joe Montana pass that would defeat the Dallas Cowboys in the 1982NFC Championship game. That victory would lead to the first of the San Francisco 49ers five Super Bowl championships.
