The San Francisco 49ers bounced back from a home loss to the Atlanta Falcons with a home win over the Los Angeles Rams and a road win in the NFL’s 100th season last regular season game over the Seattle Seahawks to get the number #1 seed in the NFC. That number one seed got the 49ers a first round bye and a divisional match up against the lowest rating surviving team from the Wild Card round of playoffs. That team is the Minnesota Vikings who the 49ers will play on Saturday January 11th at Levi’s stadium with a start time of 1:35 Pacific time. You never know how a 49er divisional playoff game will turn out. Eight years ago at Candlestick Park the 49ers defeated the New Orleans Saints in a divisional playoff game that was ranked 3rd all time in the 50 years the NFL has had a divisional playoff.
#17 emmanuel Sanders leaps up to make the catch over Los Angeles Rams defender #26 Marqui Christian.
Sometimes it seems like#85 George Kittle catches every pass, and can’t even be tackled if a defensive player is holding his face mask. On this play, the defense of #58 Cory Littleton did prevent Kittle from making a touchdown reception.
If you had to guess which element of this photo was added during post production, a logical guess would the British Airways 787-9 Dreamliner that appears to be flying just barely over the Levi’s sign on it’s way to San Jose International Airport. That logical guess would be wrong. The combination of a very long lens and the fact the British Airways jet is heading for a landing at San Jose airport gives the impression that the Levi’s sign was in danger. It wasn’t.
The sky was added to the original photo using the amazing new sky replacement software in Luminar 4.
Using information from planespotters.net, I found out this particular Boeing jet first flew on September 8th, 2015 and was delivered to British Airways on September 28th, 2015.
Rams quarterback #16 Jared Goff rolls out of the pocket to find an open receiver.
The 49ers are hoping there will be Minnesota passes bouncing away incomplete like this pass to Los Angeles Ram #17 Robert Woods.
Not sure if the funny look was part of the play call at the line of scrimmage, but it didn’t work out for Rams quarterback Jared Goff.
San Francisco 49er Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh makes his opinion known during the 49ers victory over the Rams.
With the extra week off, the 49ers defense should be back to early season form as players have returned from injuries.
Making open field tackles will be one of keys to defeating the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional playoff game against them.
San Francisco 49er #23 Ahkello Witherspoon tries to prevent Ram half back #30 Todd Gurley II from gaining extra yards.
Another key to victory over the Rams will be the involvement of all the receivers. Here #19 Deebo Samuel makes the catch an tries to escape from the Rams defender for extra yards.
San Francisco 49er quarterback #10 Jimmy Garoppolo strides off the field with his feet barely touching the ground after the victory over the Rams.
