As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm. Well getting up early, or going out at night gets you interesting photos. These are from my recent 28 day trip to Europe which included a 14 day Holland America cruise, and traveling through Italy by train.<\/p>\n

\"Canals<\/p>\n

We took a sunset ride on the canals of Amsterdam. This view from the shore is just a couple hundred meters from the Amsterdam Centraal Railway Station.<\/p>\n

\"Early<\/p>\n

It sure looks like all the city lights were on for our early morning arrival in Lisbon, Portugal.<\/p>\n

\"NIght<\/p>\n

The night lights of the National Pantheon were still on in the early morning as we arrived in port at Lisbon, Portugal.<\/p>\n

\"View<\/p>\n

Sometimes the view from your balcony is the best when one. This photo was made while pulling into the port of Bilbao, Spain.<\/p>\n

\"Lone<\/p>\n

As we docked into the port of the Rock of Gibraltar, I noticed this lone fisherman off another pier.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

\"Rain<\/p>\n

No matter the weather, the crew has to get up early and prepare the ship for the guests.
\nNo matter the weather, I have to get up early and get those dramatic early morning photos as we pull into port.<\/p>\n

\"Rainy<\/p>\n

Inclement weather as we pull into the port of Valencia, Spain.<\/p>\n

\"Cloudy<\/p>\n

The cloudy rainy weather was with us even as we pulled out of port in Valencia, Spain.<\/p>\n

\"Graffiti<\/p>\n

It’s not always so glamorous, but usually nobody posts graffiti pictures from Rome so one gets the impression there isn’t any. There is.<\/p>\n

\"Early<\/p>\n

Someone has to get up early to make all those breakfast pastries at the Giselda Bakery in Rome.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/p>\n

It was an early morning photo excursion that allowed me to capture the Ponte Garibaldi bridge over the Tiber river with the Vatican in the distance.<\/p>\n

\"Man<\/p>\n
