The trade of Matthew Stafford for Jared Goff that shocked the NFL was the first time ever that two quarterbacks who were drafted first overall were traded for each other. But that wasn’t the shocking part, both quarterbacks seemed on their way out of their respective teams. The shocking part was how much the Los Angeles Rams gave up to get rid of their former starting quarterback. The trade the brought Stafford to the Rams from the Detroit Lions involved the Rams giving up TWO first round picks and a third round pick along with their quarterback.
