Rising early on a January morning that featured a Red sky allowed me to capture the morning dew silhouetted on the grass.

Morning dew on blades of grass silhouetted against a reddish Sun one January morning.

Then all that was required was 300mm lens along with a 1.4 tele converter to increase the reach, and finally to make the image at f20.0 for greater depth of field.

Another of the challenges required to make this image was shooting directly into the sun. If you don’t under expose by a least a couple f/stops, the brightness of the Sun will expand past it’s true location in photo. I also seem to recall it was a California cold morning ( the 40’s or so ) and I had to lie down on the ground to get this low angle.
