Tracy & Joey Wedding Slide Show – Lone Tree Golf Course – Antioch, CA

Tracy and Joey chose a perfect September day for their outdoor wedding at the Lone Tree Golf course in Antioch, California. Guests were treated to spectacular sunset views of the Golf Course during the ceremony as Tracy and Joey exchanged their vows. The festivities continued at the banquet room reception which features a wonderful view of the 18th green and fairway at the golf course.

This past May I had the opportunity to assist Scott Mosher with a backyard wedding ceremony that took place in the Los Altos, and was followed up with a reception at the Silver Creek Sportsplex in San Jose. You know it’s going to be a fun time for all when the reception features a live band and a referee.

Stanford Memorial Church Palo Alto – Madera Restaurant Reception Menlo Park – Karen & Erik Wedding

Karen and Erik exchanged their vows during a late morning intimate ceremony the Stanford Memorial Church in Palo Alto on the Stanford campus. While the church interior is quite large with seating for many hundreds of guests, if you have a limited number of guests attending the ceremony, all of them can be seated on chancel just below the alter. After the wedding and photos around campus Karen and Erik went to the Madera Restaurant not far away in Menlo Park to enjoy lunch with their family.

Auberge du Soleil – Korean & Western Wedding – Westin Verasa Napa

Several months back I had the opportunity to work with Hannah Suh as a second photographer for a lovely wedding at the Auberge du Soleil in the Napa Valley. While the weather had been rainy all week, it cleared up for the wedding day and made for spectacular day to get married.

Overnight temperatures were below freezing causing the rain water to freeze, but that was no problem as the sun was out all day for the wedding day festivities.

Folsom Wedding – Lake Natoma Inn – Sacramento Valley – New Year’s Day

I started off the wedding season this year by assisting Marjorie of Stellasweeet Photography on New Year’s Day at the Lake Natoma Inn – Folsom, California in the Sacramento Valley. It was a fun wedding that involved many surprises, including a Flash Mob, Pittsburgh Steeler NFL football gear, and many footballs.

The weather that had included more rain than usual was no where to be found on this wonderful sunny spring Saturday that Kristin and Ramesh chose to celebrate their love with a day long celebration that included two wedding ceremonies and two receptions. Their day began with a 7:30 am South Indian Hindu wedding ceremony at the Shiva-Vishnu Temple in Livermore. After all the color and tradition of the ceremony is was time for family and guests to enjoy a luncheon reception at the Castlewood Country Club located in the foothills of Pleasanton. The days celebration concluded with another wedding ceremony and reception with dinner and dancing at the Fremont/Newark Hilton Hotel. Helping me to capture all the joy and festivities of the day was Berkeley Wedding Photographer Stephen Hew.

San Francisco Wedding – St Patrick’s church – Omni Hotel – Julia Morgan Ballroom – Merchants Exchange Building

Several months back I had the opportunity to work as a second photographer for Noah Hawthorne during Megan and Brian’s San Francisco wedding at St Patrick’s Cathedral. The day started with extra coverage of the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at the Julia Morgan Ballroom. Then it was a quick trip across the street to cover the guys getting ready at the Omni Hotel. Next it was on to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the big event. After the wedding ceremony it was time for a cable car trolley ride to the San Francisco piers to take some ocean side photos. The day’s coverage ended where it started at the Julia Morgan ballroom in the Merchants Exchange building on the 15th floor. Thanks for inviting me along Noah, it was a fun day and a beautiful wedding.

Sacramento Valley – Lake Natoma Inn – Folsom Wedding

A couple months ago I was able to team up again with Stephen Hew working as the 2nd photographer for a wedding in one of the Sacramento Valley’s finest wedding venues, the Lake Natoma Inn, in the city of Folsom. A beautiful day and a wonderful couple made for some great photos. There was even a special guest that dropped by for a brief moment. See the sixth photo below.

Fremont Newark Hilton Hotel – South Indian Wedding – Hindu Ceremony – Priya & Santosh

Sometimes you will photograph the wedding of a couple who has flown across the county to be married in the Napa Valley or on the Monterey coast, and you will meet that couple in person for the very first time on the day of their wedding. Other times as with Priya and Santosh you are involved in the cultural traditions leading up to their wedding day.

My first day of capturing Priya and Santosh’s wedding journey started in June when I flew back to the San Francisco Bay Area from British Columbia, Canada to photograph their engagement ceremony at Priya’s parents home. Later that month it was over to San Francisco and Lands End to do their engagement photos which would be included in their guest signing book. Two days before their September wedding I was once again back at the family home with guests, family, and friends for the Mehndi party for henna skin decorations.

Coverage of their wedding day started bright and early at 7am as Priya and Santosh got ready for the morning ceremony at the Fremont – Newark Hilton Hotel. Helping me cover all the morning’s festivities and events was Stephen Hew. After the morning ceremony and lunch for the guests, their was a break in the day’s coverage which I used to head home and down load the morning’s images for a slide show that the guests could view before the evening reception. Joining me to cover the evening’s events was Matt Kim. At 11pm that evening my coverage of Priya and Santosh’s wedding journey was over. It was great getting to know them and capturing their journey. Thank you Priya and Santosh.

Priya & Santosh – Mehndi Party and celebration

Two days before her wedding, Priya and her family hosting a Mehndi party for family and friends. As the bride, Priya had the most elaborate henna skin decorations applied. After Priya’s henna decorations were done, family and guests had drawings done on the palm of their hands. Santosh even stopped by later in the evening and had a heart with both his name and Priya’s name applied to his hand.

Guests were treated to beautifully decorated chocolate covered strawberries.Santosh had his hand decorated with two hearts.

Delta King Hotel – Old Sacramento Wedding – Alicia & Steven

Alicia and Steven were married at the Delta King Hotel in the 28-acre National Historic Landmark District known as Old Sacramento during a sunset ceremony. Their friends, family, and guests then partied the night away in the Paddle Wheel Lounge aboard the Delta King.

Napa Valley Wedding – Caldwell Vineyards – Nafeesa & Jackson

Nafeesa and Jackson were married in an outdoor ceremony in the Napa Valley on day with wonderful weather and many friends in attendance. Nafeesa started her day by getting ready at the McClelland-Priest Bed and Breakfast Inn. The charm and elegance of the B&B made for great family and bridal portraits. It was just a short drive to the home where Jackson was waiting to marry his wife to be. After a lovely outdoor ceremony, the couple proceeded to the Caldwell Vineyards and “the cave” for some photos.

Sharon and Daniel traveled across country to be married at the San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey. Following their church wedding they headed to Gatherings in Pacific Grove for their reception. With the weather turning perfect for sunset photos they headed over to Lovers Point to capture some special images. Thanks to Matt Kim for 2nd shooting with me and capturing the guys getting ready.

Nafeesa and Jackson were married yesterday in Napa. Their outdoor wedding and reception turned out perfect with weather giving them a sunny day that wasn’t too hot or cold. Here’s a sneak peek at their wedding day photos.

San Francisco Wedding – St Ignatius Catholic Church – Delancey Street Foundation Herbert Halper Town Hall Reception

Last month I had the opportunity to assist Berkeley Photographer Stephen Hew as a 2nd photographer during a San Francisco wedding at St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the reception that followed at the Delancey Street Foundation in the Herbert Halper Town Hall. You can view Stephen’s photos of the wedding day HERE. After meeting up with Stephen at the San Francisco Courtyard Marriott where the bride was getting ready, my coverage started with a quick trip to St Ignatius church to photograph to guys. The ceremony took place inside the beautiful and awe inspiring St Ignatius church. After the ceremony is was time for a ride on a motorized cable car to visit a few spots around town, including a stop at AT&T Park home of the San Francisco Giants. After our last stop on the city tour is was time to head to the Delancey Street Foundation’s Herbert Halper Town Hall for the reception.

Sonya & Jason – Jefferson Street Mansion Benicia Wedding

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to join Jared Alvarez as a second photographer during his coverage of Sonya and Jason’s wedding at the historic Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia, California. You can view Jared’s photos from the wedding HERE. It was a pleasure to help Jared photograph Sonya and Jason’s outdoor wedding at the formal 1861 mansion where luxury knows no bounds.

The mansion is reflected in the hubcap of the White Packard limousine that couple were transported in.

A little sword play before the wedding with a groomsman always makes the day go better.
