This image was taken at a wedding that I had the pleasure to work as a second photographer for Sam Hassas.

The results from the ISPWP ( International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers ) Winter 2009 contest were recently released, and I’m pleased to say that 3 of my photos placed in the competition.

This 2nd place photo was taken at the end of a small and charming island themed backyard wedding ceremony and reception that ended up a little wet and wild.

Cassie and Ben’s platinum reception at the Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Coast started in the late afternoon. After the sun had long set, the Italian style rotunda and the event lawn provide and elegant background for a late evening stroll.

Last year I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for Sam Hassas. This photo was taken while we split duties covering the garter toss. The young lad leaped across the way just in time to grab the garter from the less fleet footing single men.

WPJA Q3 Contest Winner – Bride and Bridesmaids trash the Dress at Reception

The results of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) 3th Quarter contest were recently announced and my image of the Bride and several of her bridesmaids jumping into a swimming pool placed 14th in the reception category.

The results of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) 4th Quarter contest were recently announced and one of my cake cutting images placed fourth.

There is a certain element of danger using a sword to cut the cake. Don't try this at home.

This photo from Stacy & Brad’s Napa wedding in October, placed 10th in the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA.com) 2006 Winter Photo Contest. It was entered in the ceremony category. Stacy and Brad came out from Ohio to be married at their Aunt and Uncle’s private vineyard. The wedding and the location were beautiful. Stacy did an amazing job planning a wedding from 3,000 miles away.
