With all the clouds it seemed unlikely I would be able to capture the waxing crescent moon and comet PANSTARRS in one photo. Sometimes luck and preparation meet, and things work out. I never saw the comet while taking the photos, but I continued to make the images where the comet was suppose to be. Luckily for me, it was right where the experts said it would be.

The comet PANSTARRS image was made on a Canon 5D mk3 with a Canon 70-200mm lens at 200mm,  100 ISO, f5.6 for 2 seconds.
